2019 Call for Officer Nominations

Please submit names of nominated individuals to Heather Reis, Secretary, via e-mail at Secretary@asq509.org by September 30, 2019. Nominations require the submission of a nomination petition* signed by at least 10 members. Eligible individuals must be Regular Members** of the Society and have a membership in the ASQ Section 0509. If you want to self-nominate, please submit your name to Heather Reis at Nominations@asq509.org, and she will provide guidance on the petition process. Click for a copy of the Nomination Petition.

Positions open for nominations are: Chair-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer 

Each of these positions is described in the 2019 Call for Nominations and serves for a Section term.

**Regular members are voting members of the Society: Full, Senior, Fellow, Honorary, and primary contact of Site / Enterprise / School / District memberships.

Volunteer Positions Available

ASQ Section 509 is seeking section members to volunteer for a variety of adhoc positions. Qualification for candidates includes: ASQ member of Section 509 as their home section, equipped with leader's vision, can-do attitude, and community-serving passion.

General Membership Meetings! 

 

We are looking for future speakers to present at our General Membership Meetings.  We are also looking for new locations to hold the event.  If you are interested in presenting at a future meeting or know of a place to hold our dinner meetings, please contact our Section Chair, Brent Greene, at chair@asq509.org.

Certification Refresher Courses

The Washington DC and Maryland Metro Section offers refresher courses for some of the ASQ certification examinations.  See the Certification and Training Page for the offered courses as well as other training resources. 

Certification Examinations - IMPORTANT CHANGES

As of September 1, 2016 exams, ASQ will transitioned to computer-based testing, or CBT, for its exam delivery. Although the application/approval process has not changed, candidates will be required to take an additional step after being approved to schedule their testing appointment with Prometric.

The log-in instructions are as follows: Click "Login" link on left side. For username, use your First Initial + Last Name For password, use your ASQ membership number. DO NOT ADD LEADING ZEROS.  Note: ASQ Section 509 gets new member data once a month.  Please wait at least 30 days from joining ASQ before attempting to log into our web site.  If login is not successful 30 days from joining ASQ, contact the webmaster (webmaster@asq509.org).

If login is successful, you will see your "My Profile" page with five or six tabs. You may also see the ASQ Newsfeed and links. You will see the newsfeed/links on the "My Profile" page each time you log in. Select the Login/Contact Information Tab to change your Username or password. Password must be at least 7 characters.
