Abstract:

More and more organizations are turning to continuous improvement techniques to increase the affordability of their organization. Cutting production costs, increasing marketing share, improving quality, and increasing speed of production or delivery of services, all fall under the affordability umbrella. In his presentation, Paul Odomirok will outline the framework for implementing affordability using lean six sigma methodology. His new book, Affordability: Integrating Value, Customer, and Cost for Continuous Improvement, further elaborates on what affordability has to offer industries seeking to become faster, more capable, and more profitable.
