The Performance Excellence SIG meeting will be held at the following location:

(Across from the Verizon Center, Gallery Place Metro Station)
Please use the Metro Rail (Gallery Place). Upon entering the lobby area, inform the guard that you are attending the "Performance Excellence" meeting. Additionally, contact Michael Smith at 301-651-2305 to be escorted.

Speaker Biography: As the nation's 25th Public Printer, a position first held by Benjamin Franklin, Mr. Tapella serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO), one of the nation’s oldest and most venerable agencies with revenue in excess of $1 billion. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Mr. Tapella oversees production and distribution of information products and services for all three branches of the Federal Government. Although appointed by President George W. Bush, he is highly respected and regarded by members on both side of the aisle. He is a native of California and an alumnus of the American Council of Young Political Leaders. He is also a 1991 graduate of California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
