ProModel: Process
Simulation and Modeling in Healthcare
Delivery
Pro-Model is a leading provider of simulation-based decision making tools and software for improving performance in many industries. Tonight’s presentation will provide an overview of Pro-Model’s capability within healthcare. In addition to reviewing the value-added components of delivering continuing process improvements to organizations, Pro-Model allows organizations to make better decisions faster. Both Geff and Kurtis will detail how evidence based predictive analytics and model simulation can deliver performance excellence by offering case studies of actually simulations performed in different healthcare settings: process improvement, design and planning, and human resource allocation.
Geff McDonald, Director, Healthcare Initiatives has 25 plus years of experience in major medical organizations. His focus has been on the technical side of healthcare as it relates to IT hardware and software use in hospitals and primary care delivery.
Kurtis E. Shampine, Senior VP, Life Sciences Division, has a diverse simulation background having worked with 200 different companies and creating 400 solutions in many different companies. He has provided both sales, consulting, and project management leadership experience to Pro-Model. Through his vision Pro-Model has grown from a one product simulation software company to a provider of both customized and Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and consulting solutions. He started his career within the automation and robotics design and holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
