International Convention of
Students' Quality Control Circles 2001 - India

The 4th ICSQCC-2001 was held in Lucknow, India, December 5th to 8th 2001. This convention was attended by students from various countries and Quality experts from 18 nations. The experts displayed their quality approaches through plenary sessions, case study circle presentations and paper presentations.

The Future Quality Leaders (students) gave a fine display of their talents and innovative approach through debate, poster and slogan making competition. Students from 49 teams participated and displayed their positive approach.

The Past Chair of our section (0509) Mr. Syed Ali, delivered the opening address on Friday, the 7th of December, 2001. His topic of discussion was "Quality Management and Leadership for the Next Millenium".

The Keynote address was delivered by Mr. Donald Dewar, President of the QCI International, USA.

The convention was very colorful; full of International cultural programs and ended up with a grand banquet. It was a very successful program which was attended by more than 1500 participants. The teachers and the students of the schools worked very hard to make all the participants feel comfortable.

All the credit goes to the tremendous leadership of Mr. Jagdish Ghandi, founder of the city Montessori school and degree college and Dr. (Mrs.) Vineeta Kamran, Principle of the CMS degree College and the convenor.
