Program Description:  Enterprise business transformations require more than just a handful of LSS continual improvement projects.  Ms. Speth will discuss the major aspects of transforming organizations into one that is process-based and service-oriented.  The presentation will provide learned insights and applied experience with integrating LSS methodology, skills, and tools into each step of the journey.  It will discuss how to navigate the political landscape through hostile cultures using LSS rigor for cultural change management.  As take-aways, participants will be provided with proven and tested tools that best facilitate achievement of results.

Speaker: Ms. Amy Speth has been an IT Consultant and Program Manager for over 20 years.  She is certified as an ITIL Service Manager, a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and a PMI Project Management Professional. 

As a consultant, Ms. Speth has led large organizations, both federal and commercial, through comprehensive and complex IT business transformations.  She currently serves as a senior advisor to US Army leadership on an end-to-end business transformation of the Army CIO organization impacting over 1.5 million people.  This includes strategy development and alignment to business goals, IT enterprise architectural engineering, organizational restructuring, cultural change management, business process reengineering, and the implementation of performance management IT governance management systems. 

Prior to the Army, Ms. Speth was the senior Program Executive for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs IT Realignment program.  This program transitioned the VA, the second largest federal agency with over 229,000 personnel, from a decentralized management structure to a centralized, single IT leadership structure. 

Ms. Speth earned her B.S. in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University at Galveston.
