SPQA is Recruiting Examiners

The Senate Productivity & Quality Award for Virginia (SPQA-VA) is recruiting Examiners for the 2010 Award Cycle.  This is a Baldrige-based Award Program open to organizations in Virginia and the District of Columbia. Participating as an Examiner offers an outstanding educational opportunity to learn about the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence (CPE) and its application/implementation in organizations.  The Examiner application is online at http://www.spqa-va.org/examiners.html.  Training in the Baldrige CPE, as well as training in applying the criteria as an Examiner is required.  Training is held in Richmond, Virginia in January.  If you are interested in learning more, visit http://www.spqa-va.org/ and click on Examiners.  You can also contact Mary Turner () for more information.  The deadline to apply to be an Examiner is December 31, 2009.

Volunteers Needed

The Executive Committee is calling for volunteers to serve their section. We are specifically looking for someone to fill the role of Nominations Chair. If you are interested, please contact Suzanne Roberts ().
