Understanding the probability and potential impact of a software failure, hazard or threat is critical for implementing an effective test strategy and achieving a successful project outcome. This presentation will review traditional software risks analysis methods and take a look at innovative techniques software engineers can use to manage risks within the project life cycle.

 

Mary Lewis, a graduate of Temple University's College of Engineering with a degree in Electrical Engineering has over twenty years of experience as an IT professional. As a Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), she worked in quality roles at IBM, Fiserv, and Lockheed Martin.

Most recently she participated in a job analysis workshop for the CSQE body of knowledge. Mary is also the Program Coordinator for the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Washington DC & Maryland Metro Section (509), Software Special Interest Group (SSIG).
