Certified Quality Auditor Refresher Course

ASQ Section 509 is pleased to offer an online refresher course for quality professionals who want to prepare for the Quality Auditor Certification (CQA) Exam administered by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The course covers the CQA Body of Knowledge and sample exam questions for you to test your understanding of the concepts. The course will help participants identify topics they should concentrate their studies on as they prepare for the actual exam. Levels of cognition will be reviewed and their use in defining the intended complexity of multiple choice test questions will be identified.
Course Format: Web-based, online, course using WebEx. Participants will need access to the internet. Use of a headset is strongly encouraged.
Dates: The course runs from Thursday, October 15 through Tuesday, November 24th and will consist of 12, 2-hour sessions (24 training hours) held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM EST. All sessions will be recorded, archived, and available to participants until the exam date (12/05/2015).
Actual class dates are:
• Oct. 15, 20, 22, 27, and 29, 2015; and
• Nov. 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, and 24, 2015
Refresher Course Tuition: $395 for registrations received by Oct. 9, 2015

This is the fourth year, Ms. Menzies has taught the CQA Refresher course for ASQ Section 509. Ms. Menzies has been a senior member of ASQ since 2001. With over 24 years of experience, Ms. Menzies has held quality-related positions at Biocon, Inc.; Otsuka Maryland Research Institute; TherImmune Research Corporation; and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Ms. Menzies current position uses her knowledge of auditing and project management to improve internal business processes at the FDA. In addition to auditing for compliance to Good Clinical Practice and Good Laboratory Practice regulations and ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards, Ms. Menzies has hosted FDA and EPA inspections, and ISO audits.
Course Materials: We will be using certification materials from the Quality Council of Indiana. Required materials for the course are:
• CQA Primer, 8th edition (Jun, 2012) - $70
• Solution Text - $35

Dates: Exam date is Saturday, December 5, 2015. Application deadline is October 16, 2015.
Location: Exam test location is in the Maryland suburbs near Washington, D.C. Applicants will be notified by National ASQ of their exam location and test time.

ASQ CQA Exam Cost: $419 for non-members, $269 for members. Join ASQ and save! Exam applicants are responsible for meeting ASQs certification requirements.

If you need to cancel your registration or withdraw from the course, we will refund your paid registration fee as noted below:
1. Requests for cancellations/withdrawal received by September 30, 2015, receive a full refund.
2. Requests received after October 8, 2015, incurs a $25 processing fee.
3. There are no refunds past October 15, 2015.
