November ISO 9000 Users Group Meeting  

The next meeting of the ISO 9000 Users Group will be held at the following NEW location:

The meeting will start at 5:30 pm. Attendees are invited to participate in the networking as well as the free pizza and soft drink portion of the meeting.  Advanced registration is not required.

November's Topic:  Process Verification Program

Speaker: John Sharpe

John Sharpe is the Director of the Compliance Division of the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA).  The Compliance Division is responsible for designating and delegating private companies and States to perform grain inspection and weighing on behalf of the USDA, administering the Agency’s health and safety programs, managing all regulatory activities, performing program reviews of all agency activities, and investigating violations of the Agricultural  Marketing Act, and the Unites States Grain Standards Act. 

At October’s meeting, Felicia Reed, Manager of Quality and Corporate Processes for Ingenium Corporation provided an overview of Internal Auditing.  Ms. Reed’s presentation discussed audit details including preparing the Audit Plan & Notification, Audit Report as well as documenting findings leading to corrective and preventive actions.  Her presentation also outlined the professional conduct and expectations of both the Auditor and Auditee.  Ms. Reed is a Certified Quality Auditor as well as a Certified Continual Improvement Associate and was recently appointed to the Maryland Performance Excellence Awards 2006 Board of Examiners.
