Program Description: Lean Sensei and Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Ken Leeson will lead a dynamic, open forum on process improvement methodologies and relevant industry trends. You and other participants are encouraged to kick-off the discussion with questions on Lean, Six Sigma, Toyota, GE and any other related quality questions you�ve always wanted to ask. Bring your questions and tap into Mr. Leeson�s deep 11 years of GE experience and 8 years of Air Force experience. Discussions are guaranteed to be lively. Since the meeting format is driven by participant questions, come and expect the unexpected. Participants will also be queried for their opinions and experiences.
Speaker: Mr. Ken Leeson is the Executive Director of Strategic Process Improvement at INOVA Health System. Previously, Mr. Leeson held increasing responsibilities and budgets over his 11 year tenure at GE Medical System and Healthcare. As a GE Master Black Belt, he was the Director of the Lean Process Improvement Initiative for the $8 Billion Diagnostic Imaging Division of GEHC and the Acting Lean Leader responsible for the entire $17 Billion GE Healthcare business, where he was an instrumental player in the GEHC transition from Six Sigma to "Lean" Six Sigma for its business-wide process improvement methodology.
Prior to GE, Mr. Lesson was a Contracting Officer in the USAF managing contracts of all sizes and types for the Department of Defense. His 8 year Air Force career culminated in an appointment as the Administrative Contracting Officer for the multi-billion dollar F-16 Fighter Engine and KC-135 tanker Engine programs at General Electric.
Mr. Leeson is a 1988 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he received a BS in General Engineering and International Affairs (Magna Cum Lauda). He attended Graduate school at the Air Force Institute of Technology where he graduated with an MS in Contract Management.
