May General Meeting  

CDR James M. Simpson will provide an overview of the Six Sigma DMAIC-Results methodology used to improve the process of developing quarterly scorecards in FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH).  These Office and Center level scorecards are critical components of the Center's organizational performance measurement system.  The six-month project used a variety of quality improvement tools including flow charting, affinity diagrams, Pareto charts, SIPOC, benchmarking and force field analysis.  Results were financially measured and demonstrated a payback within less than two years.
