Speaker Biography:  Catherine Hader

When architecture and engineering company DMJM H&N, Inc. set its sights on ISO 9001 certification five years ago, Catherine Hader was one of the early adopters, volunteering as an internal auditor and establishing a Voice of the Client program.  As director of marketing for the firms design practice in Washington, DC office, she had long seen how quality could affect both the bottom line and marketing successes.

In recent years as she has transitioned full time into the quality profession, she has expanded her responsibilities to include SmartWork, a continuous improvement program, and she blogs about the lighter side of quality on QWorks: Truth, conjecture and opinion by a quality neophyte, an internal corporate blog.

Hader is an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, a Certified ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor (RABQSA), and a member of the 2008 Maryland Performance Excellence Awards Board of Examiners. In addition, she is one of several who are developing and writing ASQs Service Quality Body of Knowledge, and she is a member of ASQs Design and Construction Division 2009 conference within a conference committee.
