Topic: Mark Berron will lead a discussion on defining a process as a follow up to the Process Auditing discussion in October. Examples of process mapping will be shown as well as how to put metrics in place to measure how the process is performing. A reverse process method starting with the desired output will also be discussed that helps analyze where problems can occur in the process. As time permits, we will also talk about the internal audit process and making it address ISO compliance as well as process improvement. Participants are encouraged to bring their process problems to the discussion.
Mark is the former Director of Quality and ISO at ARINC, and now has joined Perot Government Services as a lead auditor for NASA's AS9100 and ISO 9001 internal audit programs. He has performed numerous audits of Quality Management Systems, and presented to ASQ on various elements of the ISO standard. He is a firm believer in using ISO not only for compliance, but to improve processes and increase productivity.
