Topic:  0.1 Introduction-ISO9001-2008 "The adoption of a quality management system should be a strategic decision of an organization." The International Standard provides the framework for establishing repeatable processes to yield quality products to meet customer expectations. The Baldrige Criteria provides the framework for aligning processes, people, resources, and customer needs with the goal of performance excellence. Thus, implementing the ISO9000 standard to set the disciplines and focus on customer requirements provides a springboard to adopt the comprehensive Baldrige Criteria for aligning strategies and driving business results. We will discuss how the key elements of ISO9000 will provide the foundation for pursuing the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
