Speaker Biography: Geoffrey Withnell
Geoff Withnell is currently as Process Improvement Coach for Dynamics Research Corporation, working in a Department of Defense assignment. He started in the Quality profession forty years ago in March 1969 as a document control and configuration management clerk in USMC aviation. Along the way, he has been an inspector, quality auditor, quality supervisor, quality engineer, quality manager, master black belt, consultant, and at one company, held the position of "our quality guy." Mr. Withnell has worked in the defense, aerospace, biomedical, manufacturing and service industries, and has served on the boards of five ASQ sections. He is the moderator for the ASQ Quality Management Division discussion board, serves on the Society�s Membership Committee, and is Publicity Chair for Section 509. He is a Senior Member of ASQ an holds certifications from ASQ as Quality Engineer; Quality Auditor; Six Sigma Black Belt; Manager, Quality/Organizational Excellence and Software Quality Engineer. He has delivered papers to the American Association of Blood Banks, and the Israel Quality Society on Quality Management. His next project is to take and pass the Pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices Practitioner certification exam, and has a contract with Indiana Quality Council to write the primer for this new exam, (assuming he passes!).
