TOPIC:    Use of LSS within Community-Based Dental Centers

SPEAKER:    Mr. James Patsis, Mitre Corporation

PROGRAM:
Effective application of Lean Six Sigma Design (LSSD) within a Federally Qualified Health Center (Community- based or Public Health) dental department resulted in increased patient visits, decreased costs, and improved patient outcomes. This session is a case study in lessons learned in developing a value-based practice of delivery that decreased the time to complete patient cases. It will detail how LSSD can develop a value-based practice delivery model that resulted not only in significant savings but also in expanded access to quality care.
