Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Refresher Course 

ASQ Section 509 is pleased to offer a refresher course for quality management professionals who want to prepare for the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Exam administered by the American Society for Quality.

Dates:  The course will consist of four 4-hour sessions (16 classroom hours), on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to Noon.; October 27, November 3, .November 10, November 17.

Instructor: Cathy Oliveri, ASQ Section 509.

Ms. Oliveri is a Member of the ASQ with over 20 years experience in software and systems development. She has also held quality related positions at IBM, the SAS Institute, and Lockheed Martin, and was the Program Manager and Lead Master Black Belt for LSS Training for the TSA. She is a Master Black Belt and holds ASQ certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt, Software Quality Engineer, and Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence.

Tuition: $325 payable by check to ASQ 509, which is offering the course.

Course Materials:
- We will be using certification materials from the Quality Council of Indiana (http://www.qualitycouncil.com/cssgb_p.asp).

Please bring the required materials to the first class session:
- Six Sigma Green Belt Primer
- Six Sigma Green Belt Primer Solution Text
- The CSSGB Electronic Exam is not required but is highly recommended (http://www.qualitycouncil.com/software_exam.asp)

Credit: This course does not carry CEU or academic credit. 

Course Approach: We'll begin by reviewing the list of topics in the CSSGB Body of Knowledge and the level at which each topic will be tested. Each class will consist of a review of sample questions, accompanied by more detailed focus on selected qualitative and quantitative areas according to the needs of the participants. The course will also have a dedicated web site where participants can download supplemental materials and post questions.

ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt Exam Information:

Exam Dates: Exam date is December 1, 2012.  Application deadline is October 12, 2012.  Late registration with additional fee deadline October 17, 2012.

Exam Location: Exam location is at the Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD (closer to Columbia, MD)

Exam Application: You must apply for the exam directly with National ASQ (http://prdweb.asq.org/certification/control/certifications)

 CSSGB Exam Cost: $359 for non-members, $209 for members.  Join ASQ and save!  Exam applicants are responsible for meeting ASQ's certification requirements.
