ASQ Section 509 is pleased to offer a refresher course for quality professionals who want to prepare for the Certified Reliability Engineer Exam administered by the American Society for Quality.

Dates: The course will consist of eight 3-hour sessions (24 classroom hours), on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9 pm ; January 9 - February 27, 2013

Instructor: Robert J. Scanlon, ASQ Section 509.

Mr. Scanlon is a recently elected Fellow Member of ASQ with over 30 years experience in quality management.  He has held quality-related positions with Caterpillar, Inc., Southern Pacific Railroad, the United States Postal Service, and the Transportation Security Administration. He is currently the Manager, Performance Management, Security Operations for TSA.  He holds ASQ Certifications as a Quality Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Quality Manager, and Six Sigma Black Belt.  He has also served as a member of the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for 13 years.

Tuition: $395 payable by check to ASQ 509, which is offering the course.

ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer Exam Information:

Exam Date: Exam date is March 2, 2013. Application deadline is January 11, 2013 Late registration with additional fee deadline January 16, 2013.

Exam Location: Exam location is at the Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD (closer to Columbia, MD)

Exam Application: You must apply for the exam directly with National ASQ (http://prdweb.asq.org/certification/control/certifications)

CRE Exam Cost: $419 for non-members, $269 for members. Join ASQ and save! Exam applicants are responsible for meeting ASQ's certification requirements.
