The Program will discuss the launch of TSA�s Lean Six Sigma Program in 2010 including the challenges confronted, program changes made, results achieved, and lessons learned. 


Robert J. (Bob) Scanlon has over 40 years of experience in quality management. He has held quality-related positions with Caterpillar, Inc., Caterpillar Industrial Inc., Southern Pacific Railroad, United States Postal Service, and the Transportation Security Administration. He is currently the Branch Chief for Performance Management in the Office of Security Operations for the Transportation Security Administration. He holds ASQ Certifications as a Quality Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Quality Manager, and Six Sigma Black Belt. He has also served as a member of the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for 14 years. In 2011, he was elected as a Fellow Member of ASQ.
