Instructor: Cathy Oliveri, ASQ Senior Member
Ms. Oliveri is a Master Black Belt, and a Member of the ASQ with over 25 years experience in software and systems development. She was the Lead Master Black Belt/Program Manager for Performance Measurement and Lean Six Sigma at TSA, and has also held quality related positions at IBM, the SAS Institute, and Lockheed Martin. She is currently a Staff Fellow at FDA. She holds ASQ certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt, Software Quality Engineer, and Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence.
Course Materials: To be brought to the first class: The Quality Council of Indiana � CSSBB Primer ($75), and CSSBB Solution Text ($35*), plus shipping. The CSSBB Electronic Exam CD ($70) is not required but is highly recommended. Students must order materials directly from the Quality Council of Indiana (www.qualitycouncil.com), 800-660-4215 or 812-533-4215
Credit: This course does not carry CEU credit.
Course Approach: We'll begin by reviewing the list of topics in the CSSBB Body of Knowledge and the level at which each topic will be tested. Each class will consist of a review of sample questions, accompanied by more detailed focus on selected qualitative and quantitative areas according to the needs of the participants. The course will also have a dedicated web site where participants can download supplemental materials and post questions.
Certification Exam: To sit for the CSSBB Exam on March 1, 2014, you must register with ASQ National (www.asq.org) by January 10, 2014. The exam will be held in the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC, location and time TBD by National ASQ. The exam cost is $459 for non-members, $309 for members.
Exam applicants are responsible for meeting ASQ's certification requirements: to qualify to take the exam, you must either submit two completed work projects with signed affidavits or one project with a signed affidavit and three years of work experience as it pertains to the Body of Knowledge.
