Driving directions: By Cars: From I-270 (N or S bound): Take Exit 9A and exit from the FIRST right exit; turn left (east) onto Shady Grove Dr.; turn right (south) onto Rockville Pike (Route 355); turn left (east) onto East Gude Dr.; turn left (north) immediately onto Crabb�s Branch Dr.; turn left (west) immediately onto Standish Place. The first building on your right side is 7519 Standish Place; open parking). The venue is on the first floor with its entrance opposite to the left side of building main entrance. By Metro trains: Off from Red Line Shady Grove Station, and take RideOn Route 59 TOWARD ROCKVILLE and get off from �Calhoun Place� stop. Standish Place is next to the Bus stop. Our venue is within 2 min of walking distance from the stop.

Corporate Social Responsibility Ms. Parker has a people-centric business philosophy, which is about making a difference in both the workplace and greater and global communities. Over the years, she has been especially dedicated to helping women and children, from volunteering in women�s prisons to supporting education and health initiatives for children and their families. Since 2012 she has being going to Kabul, Afghan, with the support of DSFederal employees and friends to deliver school supplies to street kids and supporting Aschiana Center, which offers a safe place with classes and meals to street children. 

Sophia Parker, MS, CPA Sophia Parker founded DSFederal in 2007 with a mission to connect the best technology with the brightest minds to address the federal government�s toughest challenges.  She has received numerous accolades for her ability to deliver excellence in health IT, software solutions, professional services, grants management, and training.  Originally from Taiwan, Ms. Parker first came to the United States in 1979.  She received a Master's degree in Mass Communication from Illinois State University and is a CPA.  Her professional history includes six years at SAIC, two years at Northrop Grumman, and 19 years at the State Department, where her postings included Russia, Pakistan, Spain, China, and Taiwan.  

The Silent World Among the people with disabilities, the Deaf is a unique group of people.  Because lack of the ability to hear, they have difficulty in speech.  Due to communication barrier, deaf people face a lot of challenges; education, employment, mental health, self-esteem, and performing some activities in everyday life that many hearing people take for granted.   Except loss of hearing, they function 100% like hearing people.   Respect, Understanding, and Support not sympathy are meaningful and treasure to these people group.  The speaker will discuss his experience assisting with the needs of the Deaf in China.

Chiu W. George Yu, MS Mr. C.W. George Yu is a computer scientist at the Internal Revenue Service, US Depart of Treasury.  Before joined the IRS in 1995, he had worked at Unisys Corp, Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Freddie Mac.  With over 40 years of Information technology (IT) experience, he has served different capacities such as Program/Project manager, Chief System Designer and Engineer, and IT trainer in those organizations.  Mr. George Yu received his BS and MS degrees in Computer Information/Application System from American University, DC and has lived in the Montgomery County for the last 43 years and actively involved in local community affairs and services and abroad, including:

Co-Founder and President of Agape Love Deaf Intl., in advancing Deaf Education and Culture for the needy families (2005-Present);  
Co-Founder and Vice President of ChineseAbroad, and Internet on-line community service provider for all non-profit organizations in the greater area of Washington D.C area (1998-2002);
Board Member of Zigen Fund, a non-profit organization in assisting children education in the rural area of China (1999 � Present);
Member, Board of Director of the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center, Inc. (CCACC), a non-profit community service organization to serve the all residents of the Montgomery County (2000 � present);
Montgomery County Senior Sub-Cabinet, Health and Wellness Advisory Committee member (2002-2003); 
Chinese Culture Director of the Rockville Chinese School (1997 � 2000).
