Driving directions: By Cars: From I-270 (N or S bound): Take Exit 9A and exit from the FIRST right exit; turn left (east) onto Shady Grove Dr.; turn right (south) onto Rockville Pike (Route 355); turn left (east) onto East Gude Dr.; turn left (north) immediately onto Crabb�s Branch Dr.; turn left (west) immediately onto Standish Place. The first building on your right side is 7519 Standish Place; open parking). The venue is on the first floor of 7529 Building with its external entrance opposite to the left side of 7519 building main entrance. By Metro trains: Off from Red Line Shady Grove Station, and take RideOn Route 59 TOWARD ROCKVILLE and get off from �Calhoun Place� stop. Standish Place is next to the Bus stop. Our venue is within 2 min of walking distance from the stop.

Summary  
In this presentation, speaker shares her view to the necessary leadership traits for success and how leaders can amplify their skills by adopting diversity and inclusion good practices.  The presentation outlines the present business environment as a �perfect storm� that requires leaders to be adaptive, ready and committed to change.  Examples of good practices and lessons learned will be shared and discussed.

Speaker�s Bio: 
Dr. Shue-Jane L. Thompson is the Director of Performance Excellence (PE) and leads a group of 50+ performance and quality engineers overseeing Lockheed Martin�s (LM) Civil programs, a $4B+ business area.  Prior to her PE assignment, she was the lead for LM�s service management practice with differentiating end-to-end service engineering capabilities for domestic and international services programs, an $8B+ program portfolio. 
Dr. Thompson has over 27 years of commercial, government and international business development, technical and P&L experience including leading and managing many large nation-wide and international captures and programs. Throughout her career, she was recognized as an outstanding customer interface and team leader. She has served in many executive positions including leading strategic campaigns, Corporate Must-Win captures, and chief technology offices. 

Dr. Thompson is an honoree for the PriSM� Distinguished Professional for the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF), the #21 in the world receiving this award.  She also is the awardee for the 2013 Executive of the Year Award from the Asian American Engineer of the Year Program and an honoree for the IEEE Distinguished Visitor Program for 2005-2010.  She currently serves as the ISO US Delegate and the Chief Editor for the ISO 20000-11 Technical Report (mapping ISO 20K-1 to ITIL�). 

Dr. Thompson received two Masters of Science degrees and a Doctoral Degree in Management with honors.  She has over 16 years of college and graduate school lecturing experience.  She also received the 2009 Paul C. T. Liu Distinguished Alumni Award from Hawaii Pacific University and the 2004 eGov Most Innovative Knowledge Management Implementation Award. She holds several professional and technical certifications such as PMI PMP, ITIL� Expert, Scrum Master, HP OpenView Developer, and BMC Developer. She also is an ITIL� certified instructor.
